Matt Jessup & Martin Golab
Following a recent recruitment process, I am delighted to announce that Matt Jessup and Martin Golab will be joining Elm Park Golf and Sports Club as Tennis Professionals on 1st September 2023.
Both Matt and Martin bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Club
Matt is Tennis Ireland (Level 2) and PTR-UK qualified and has received both British Tennis LTA Development and Performance Coach Awards (Level 3). He is also British Tennis Lawn Tennis Association & Tennis Ireland licensed.
Matt has 20 years coaching experience and taught at several clubs and schools in the Algarve. Before coming to Dublin, he was a resident coach at the established Jim Stewart Tennis Academy, Quinta Do Lago. During his time there he helped develop a large part of the Junior programme.
Since coming to Ireland, Matt has been involved in the Leinster Squad Provincial coaching, been part of the Performance Tennis coaching team at David Lloyd Riverview and also set up a new initiative within the club creating Development Squads. In addition, Matt became the Junior Tennis Manager overseeing the entire junior tennis programme and coaching team at David Lloyd Riverview.
Matt teaches both adults and juniors of all ages and abilities from beginners to performance level in an informative, relaxed, and patient manner. With his wide range of experience, he helps players develop their technical, tactical, mental, and physical skills to become the best tennis player they can be. His enthusiastic and supportive coaching style helps players of all abilities improve whilst enjoying tennis.
Martin is an ATP Certified Professional Tennis Coach with GPTCA and a Tennis Instructor with the Polish Tennis Association.
Martin also has over 20 years of coaching experience, commencing as head coach at "JODLOWA" Tennis Club in Olsztyn, Poland. Soon after, he moved to Ireland and became part of the Performance tennis team at David Lloyd Riverview. While at David Lloyd he has been coaching players of all different ages and levels.
In his coaching he prioritises technical, tactical, and physical skills. He draws on his own experience playing on the professional tour to instil in his student’s self-belief and confidence from them seeing improvement in their game.
As they both embark on this new chapter, they have said that they are eagerly anticipating becoming part of the Elm Park Golf and Sports Club team. Their goal is to deliver a high-calibre tennis program that aligns with the Club's esteemed facilities and standing.
With their combined experience in coaching and passion for the sport, they are dedicated to enhancing the tennis offerings and creating an engaging and enriching experience for members of all skill levels. They are excited to collaborate with everyone at the Club and bring fresh ideas to the court, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among players. They are committed to upholding the Club's legacy of excellence and contributing to its continued success on and off the courts.
I am sure you will all join me in welcoming both Matt and Martin and wish them every success in their new role.
