DRAW FOR ELM PARK SUPER SENIORS TROPHY 2024
Forty eight teams entered this years competition compared with 44 last year. Welcome to newcomers -
Clane, County Meath, Dundalk, Edenderry and Luttrellstown.
This allows us to have 8 groups of 6 teams. Four groups have been regionalised to limit long journeys. Also, we have swapped some of last year’s Regional and Dublin teams to ensure some variety. Next year other teams will be swapped.
Each team will play 5 group matches with, depending on the draw, either 2 or 3 matches at home. The competition will start on a league basis and progress to a knockout format at the quarter-final stage. Group winners will qualify for the quarter-finals. A tie for group winner will be decided by (i) the number of away matches won; (ii) the number of away points scored; (iii) the result of the match between the tied teams; (iv) a play-off.
We have amended the rules regarding failure to contact the referee/competition administrators (Frank Lyons and Rory Butler) in advance of (a) difficulties with arranging matches; (b) failure to play matches by the play-by dates and (c) walk-over situations. Any Team Manager who anticipates difficulties arranging a match; playing a match on time or fielding a team should contact Frank Lyons (087 8197751) or Rory Butler (086 8381749) as soon as possible. Failure to do so could lead to the imposition of some or all of the penalties laid down in Rule 11.
All group matches and play-by dates are indicated on the draw sheets below. Matches must be played on or before the specified dates and in the order they appear on the draw sheet, unless specific permission has been received in advance from Elm Park.
